What Is the Kabaza Empowerment Project?

The Kabaza Empowerment Project is a partnership between Mudzi Foundation and Makokasa that helps registered kabaza (motorcycle) drivers access loans for motorbikes and plots of land. We’re building a path to ownership for hardworking riders — one ride at a time.

Who Can Join?

  • Must have a valid motorcycle driving license
  • Must be registered with Makokasa
  • Must commit to a simple repayment plan
  • Preferably operating in Lilongwe, Blantyre, or Mzuzu
